Eleven buildings in Ilasamaja area of Lagos were discovered to be used for illlegal bunkering activities. One of the houses was called the pdp house.
The Nigerian police force have arrested four persons involved in the bunkering the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni who was with Commander, RRS, ACP Olatunji Disu; DPO Ilasamaja , SP Oriyomi Titilayo Oluwasanmi and Area Commander ‘D’, ACP Salisu Gyadigya, revealed while inspecting the diesel from one of the discovered wells.
These buildings had pipes which pumps petroleum products suspected to be diesel into wells and the products is later loaded into trucks, drums and jerricans at night.

According to Vanguardngr, these process have been going on for over five years but got busted when policemen from Ilasamaja division led by the Divisional Police Officer, Titilayo Oriyomi Oluwasanmi, a woman Superintendent of Police, SP caught up with them at the early hours of yesterday.
During the routine patrol around Abeokuta street, the police sighted some buyers who came with jerricans and drums but then ran into a building on 10 Abeokuta street and locked the door from behind. Suspecting such movement, The DPO and her men went back to the division office, changed into mufti (casual wears) and came back to the street, jerrican in hand as they headed straight to the building .
The Dpo went in while her men waited at strategic points .
The Dpo was let in because the sellers thought she was one of the buyers.
When the door got opened, her men swung into action, ttrying to figure out what was actually going on in there only for her to discover a brick on top of a well in the compound.

She immediately ordered her men to remove the brick, where it was discovered to the amazement of all that they were siphoning petroleum product from the well.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that building was owned by , Mrs Moji Adesina who had initially ejected all her tenants, in order to avoid being implicated.
A pumping machine was mounted inside the well, which pumps the petroleum into awaiting trucks which were usually parked outside.
Upon further investigation, (9) nine other buildings in the area had this same process going on there.

An under-ground pipe was connected to some buildings on the next street (Ibadan street) amongst which was the popularly known house "PDP house"
Investigations by Saturday Vanguard revealed that about five landlords allegedly started the illegal bunkering and in the process introduced others.
Over 50 buildings in the area had oil wells .
However, houses where the discoveries were made were locked up by officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC .
Chairman of the Ilasamaja Community Development Area, Alhaji Abdulfatai Abusiga, who expressed shock over the discovery claimed that he was never aware of such illegalities until yesterday.
Also lending voice to the suggestion that residents vacate the area, the Sole Administrator of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Miss Abimbola Osukoya, said that the council would ensure that the directive was adhered to. Four suspects; two of them landlords and the rest tenants were arrested , with the recovery of four drums and several jerricans.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police said that the suspects would be interrogated with a view to arresting the end users.
